Gezi Resistance On the Street

A performance born like an echo to the violent protests started in Istanbul in May 2013. In that time me and the cellist Uygur Vural we were playing in the street when gas and many police attacks inveded our “stage” and force us to ran away.

“Gezi Resistance” collects the sound of that period made by turkish melodies and poetry, improvisations, slogan and shouts.

We made a short tour in Italy between Rome, Firenze and Bologna in squares and theaters. Here you can see a part of our performance at the prestogiuos Teatro Valle in Rome.
