Concerts in Spring 2018

After the first very busy year of motherhood, I am slowly starting to care about my projects and play concerts. The spring will bring me around in Europe for concerts and research and I am very happy to have chance to play with my both duo projects, DuoSubRosa and The Pond.

I will be in Italy, Portugal, Germany and Austria.

Moreover, between the end of April and beginning of May, I will join the traditional May celebration around Grosseto(Tuscany-Italy) for my research about the special Italian oral poetry Ottava Rima. Me and Uygur Vural will shoot and record a unique event made of incredible voices, poetry and traditional music. You can see some of my old research and my short movie here.

In April, I will also start again with my teaching activity with new workshop of voice exploration and choir sessions. Details will come soon.

Check my concerts page.

The flyer below just arrived from Austria.

Feeling excited.

Running.out:of;words #4 – Live

On October 29th I will be part of this concert about contemporary voice. I will perform with the singer Natalia Pschenitschnikova and audiovisual artist Nicolas Wiese with whom I am already collaborating for the project The Pond. Below all the details.

Natalia Pschenitschnikova and Elisabetta Lanfredini sing three premieres of the composers Aziz Lewandowski, Ferdinand Breil and Nicolas Wiese. As composer/performers each of them will enter the stage and complement the voice with another component. While Nicolas Wiese makes use of purely voice-based electronics, Ferdinand Breil adds a synthesizer to this setting. Aziz Lewandowski on the other hand stays acoustic by accompanying on the cello.
Natalia Pschenitschnikova feels just as much at home in the composed music as she does in the improvised field hence forming a bridge between the different approaches and aesthetics of the composers. Nicolas Wiese and Elisabetta Lanfredini started collaborating as The Pond a while ago. She introduces influences of folk traditional music to the concert.
additives thus gives a wide variety of perspectives on the contemporary voice and lets it play the leadrole in this multi-faceted concert.

Natalia Pschenitschnikova – Voice
Elisabetta Lanfredini – Voice
Ferdinand Breil – Composition and Electronics
Nicolas Wiese – Composition and Electronics
Aziz Lewandowski – Composition and Violoncello

Konzert II – 21:15
wort | laute #2

In three electronic tape compositions poems by the lyricists Anna Hetzer and Carla Hegerl were put to music and the two authors will be on stage to read their poems.
Recordings of the authors reading their poems were the starting point for all of these four channel compositions. The sound of the voice will thus be alternating between live sounding speech and electronically processed sounds of speech.

Anna Hetzer – Reading
Carla Hegerl – Reading

Martin Daske – Halbwertzeiten des Lichts (AT) (2017) UA
Stepha Schweiger – Neues Werk (UA)

The joy of the acoustic voice

I have been happily invited to play a wonderful concert in Galerie Kremers, with Cymin Samawatie (voice) , Liz Allbee (trumpet), and Korhan Erel (electronics) during one of the appointment of  “Cymin Samawatie and Friends Music Lounge”. I love to sing in the slummy small venues of Berlin, but I am still a singer…so I get very enthusiastic when I can sing in big spaces, old building, high ceiling and enjoy overtones and natural space reverb. It gives me a lot of inspirations, it is like my mind and body feeling goes back to an imaginary time made of voices, echos, rhymes and poetry.

The last concert of 2016 will be again acoustic and this time I will give my voice to a big ensemble of   musicians and dancers/movers in the wonderful rooms of Bibliothek am Luisenbad in Wedding, Berlin for  “KlangWelten ad hoc”, series of event organized by Thomas Gerwin.

Live in Hamburg

Very happy to have played in this Festival in Hamburg with our friend wonderful Spanish pianist Josep-Maria Balanya  and the brilliant Dirk Dhonau on percussion. The venue was also very spacial. A conference room in DESY, Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron the national research center in Germany.

Soon a video of the performance will come! 🙂
